Jessica's battle with Cancer

In February of this year Jessica found out she had thyroid cancer. By March she was at OHSU having a cancerous mass removed via a very invasive thoracic approach. One week later she was sent home to recover awaiting radiation. She had been doing very well and recovering in high spirits! On the 18th of this month Jessica went back to OHSU to schedule the start of her radiation treatment only to be told it would be postponed. .. Jessica's thyroid cancer had spread to her lymphatic system. She is now awaiting a call to schedule her second cancer removal surgery, where they will be removing multiple lymph nodes.

All of this has been very tough on Jessica and her family, both emotionally and financially! There have been weeks missed at work! And many more weeks to come with this second round of surgery, healing and then radiation and/or chemotherapy.
