S/N Blitz of Free Roaming Cats
Donation protected
The Hornell Area Humane Society (HAHS) has been offered a unique opportunity to have a full time veterinarian to staff our low cost clinic full time in the months of June and July. We are going to implement a Trap, Neuter, and Return program during that time in efforts to control over population of feral and free roaming cats.
An average cat has 1-8 kittens per litter and 2-3 litters per year. During her productive life, one female cat could have more than 100 kittens. A single pair of cats and their kittens can produce as many as 420,000 kittens in just 7 years.
With this in mind, HAHS is reaching out to their supporters and requesting your help to make this program successful! It is estimated that this 2 month program will cost over $4,000 for HAHS to complete. Monetary donations wll be needed to cover the cost of materials such as traps, medicine, office supplies, in addition to staffing costs. HAHS is also seeking volunteer support to help trap the cats and transport them to and from the clinic.
Please donate, every bit helps! Your donation can help save hundreds of lives! THANK YOU!
