Hill Family Support
Donation protected
My name is Vanessa Tripodi and I am setting up this page to help my brother’s family, the Hill family of the Camden area. Many of you know our family as we have lived in this area all our lives. Our father Chris Hill is a former scout member of long standing and a volunteer fire fighter. Our mother Wendy Hill has been involved in the church community for over 40 years. They have six children who all still live in the local area. Their youngest son Regan Hill has three gorgous boys. Jordan 12, Blade 9 and Oliver 7. Recently, Regan and his family's world was turned upside down with the news that two of his sons Jordan and Blade have a rare genetic disorder call ALD. Adrenoleukodystrophy is a build up of fatty acids that attacks the coating surrounding your nerve endings call myelin. This is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with no known cure. Without treatment Regan’s two boys will be reduced to a vegetative state. Tragically, Blades disease has progressed past the point of medical intervention and will require significant, ongoing long- term care. Jordan is about to undertake the only available treatment option of a bone-marrow transplant to be able to survive this terrible disease. The treatment is long and extensive and he will need to spend up to 9 weeks in the children’s hospital in isolation. Both parents have had to leave their jobs in order to take care of their children and support Jordan through his treatment. There are many ongoing medical expenses, bills and general costs associated with caring for Jordan and Blade, and now with no regular income as a result of these tragic circumstances. We would greatly appreciate our family and friends and the wider community if they could assist Regan’s family through this really difficult time by donating and supporting them.
