My name is Robyn and I am posting this for a fellow advocate of rescue dogs. Jean Peters is a transport provider for Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue in Union Grove WI. The picture I have uploaded is her favorite way to be, having a van of empty crates. These are empty crates after having moved dogs from being at risk of euthanasia in "kill shelters" to no kill rescues. She has been doing this for over 6 years but over the last 3 years it has gotten harder for Jean with mobility and health issues. But having her freedom to drive, and being able to help in saving the dogs (well really any animal that needs saving) has kept her fighting the difficulty to keep transporting.
Sadly, Jean was recently involved in an accident while transporting 13 dogs from Missouri to Union Grove WI that smashed her van to the point of being un-drivable with at least $8000 of damage and no collision and comprehensive insurance. Lucky no one was hurt and all the dogs are perfectly fine. Being on disability does not leave Jean a lot of money for purchasing even an older van that she may be able to use in her quest to help rescue dogs the only way she is able. She's having a difficult time realizing that her rescue transport days may be behind her.
I am asking for your financial support to help purchase a van for Jean and to provide her with the ability to continue having her own independent transportation as well as being able to help save hundreds of dogs that sadly were let down by their people, and give them a second chance at life.
