Hello, this is my first time on the gofundme site and I’m hoping to get financial help for my family and I. My name is Maria, I am 19 years old, and my family is really struggling to keep our house in Clovis, CA. Currently, our 1970s era house (falling apart) consists of my mother, my sister (who is a veteran in her late 30s and has multiple mental challenges), our two cats, our two dogs, and me. My single mother (in her 60s) works an office job from 9AM to 6PM, after work, she does Doordash orders to help with expenses. My mother constantly cries about how she’s financially bound and can’t afford to fix things, like our swamp cooler, her car, simple household repairs, and sometimes we can’t even afford to make a meal. This has been something that I’ve seen my mother struggle with since I was a child. I also do Doordash and I sell things on Depop to help my mother out, but it doesn’t help much. It’s hardly a fraction of what we need to keep our home. I’m currently in the process of getting a job at Target. My sister is in a sticky situation with the courts and it’s difficult for her to help with the rent, unfortunately. Our PG&E bill is over $1000 a month, due to my sister and her habits. We are behind on our mortgage a few months and we may lose our home of 9 years by the end of October. I don’t know where we’d go if we lost our home. I am a very private person, and vulnerability is extremely difficult for me, but we are desperate. Please please help us. I don’t know where else to turn.
