A few weeks ago I found out that my beloved Pitbull, Bane, has loose patellas that dislocate during any activity, causing tendon damage along with pretty severe discomfort. Today, (4/23/16) we found out that the reason Bane hasn't been putting any weight on his hind right leg is because he has completely torn through his ACL.
With the type of structural flaw being experienced, along with the ACL damage, Bane needs surgery to stabalize the patella and also repair the tendon.
Bane is currently three years old. Up until just recently, he has been my shotgun rider and partner for everywhere from just driving to the gas station, to going up to take care of the horses with me, as well as our favorite destination: the beach.
It was absolutely devastating to hear that he is no longer stable in his leg, and that surgery is really the only guarenteed fix. While I do have some emergency funds saved up for the upredictable situations as so, this surgery is not gentle on the wallet. Unfortunately, this is a pretty time sensitive situation and we are hoping to have the surgery done ASAP, so any size contribution is so, so incredibly appreciated!
With love,
Farris and Bane
