Maui’s Hospital Expenses

Hello everyone, I have made this campaign for my sweet baby Maui. He is 6 m/o and the sweetest kitten in the world. He is my best friend and cuddles me every night. Unfortunately, we thought my other cat Bubby and him got into a fight, but it’s looking more like someone broke in. Our front door was unlocked that day and I found my bedroom window broken and my window unlocked when I haven’t opened my windows since I moved in. When we found him he was very bad and I had to rush him to emergency surgery. I just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday so I should be recovering but I’ve been all over the place, stressing, and can’t sleep. I am hoping he makes it through tonight again and will have a good surgery tomorrow. He dislocated his jaw, has fractures around his face, had fluid in his head (it has been drained), and has a pneumothorax. They are doing all they can for my baby but the expenses are terrifying. My wisdom teeth surgery was $840 after insurance out of pocket yesterday and then hours after my surgery I am hit with this. Yesterday I paid $650 for last night’s medical expenses out of pocket as well. He is staying another night and undergoing surgery tomorrow at 9am. We were looking around $8000 but they dropped the CT scan making it $1400 cheaper. The estimated total is about $6500 not counting what I have already spent. If you know me, I never ask for much. I live on my own and pay my rent on top of being a full time honor student. I can’t afford the bill and the monthly payment is more than my rent. I love my cat more than anything and euthanizing him is not an option for me. These babies are all I have sometimes. They’re there when I am sad and they always love me no matter what. I won’t let my baby die and I will do anything for him. ANYTHING helps, even prayers if that all you can offer. Anything. Thank you all so much for the support already given. I couldn’t do this alone and I am extremely thankful for the kind words and prayers. I appreciate this more than any of you know and so does Maui. Animal lovers understand the pain and struggle. Maui will make it out, I know it.
