Tracy Blair's Medical Fund

You read about it every day. You know someone who is fighting the battle. But until that monster jumps the fence and lands in your own back yard, you are safe. Tracy Oatis Blair has now heard the words, "You have breast cancer."

She lives in a small town where everybody knows everyone. There is one stop light in the middle of town. It is a place where you have clean air to breathe, and a traffic jam is two or more cars ahead of you at the stop sign. Coldspring is where she grew up, fell in love, and has raised her own daughters.

She has worked at the Junior High School for seventeen years. Her two girls, Dillyn and Devyn, played softball all throughout their school years. Tracy and James, her husband, have been involved in the baseball program for the Coldspring youth league. Together, they have spent years teaching young girls how to get along, that win or lose, they were a team. Anyone who has had a child in baseball will understand the selfless hours, spent in the heat, because they love their children.

Now, she is facing the battle of her life. Cancer does not differienciate between the good and the bad.  Cancer doesn't care that she has the gentlest soul or that her laughter can make you smile even when you don't know what she's laughing about. It doesn't care that Tracy is one of the most selfless people anyone will ever meet, stopping whatever she is doing to help a friend in need.

She has tests, MRIs, and deductibles. She, and her husband, have always paid their way, never asking anyone for help. However, being diagnosed with cancer can be a very humbling experience. You have to forget your pride for a while. The last thing on their minds right now should be how are they going to pay for chemo and surgery.

If you can help, just a little, it will be so appreciated. It would give her a chance to remove some of the worry, to let her be able to concentrate on herself and healing, and it would be a blessing to her.

The Lord tells us to turn to our friends in time of need.  At this time, they are in need. With your help and support, cancer will not get her down. Her faith in the Lord will keep her strong, along with the love of her family and friends.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless.
