Lori's Cancer Fight

I'm starting this GoFundMe for my Big Sister Lori. She was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called small cell carcinoma. The prognosis isn’t great but Lori is tougher than the average person. Lori is a 29 year old strong determined woman, a loving mother to a goofy 7 year old, a great wife, and as a sister has always had my back. 2020 has done all it could to knock her down this year. From being furloughed at her job, having to have a large amount of her intestines removed from Crohn's disease, to now being diagnosed with stage 3c small cell carcinoma of the cervix. This is a rare and aggressive form of cancer, She has a very large tumor which has spread regionally in her pelvis to her pelvic lymph nodes. The tumor is too large to remove and surgery will not increase her chances of survival at this time. This type of cancer amounts for only 1% of cervical cancers. She is currently going through 2 chemotherapy medications at once with many more cycles to come. We are hoping she can begin radiation therapy soon, which is being delayed due to her abdominal surgery so close to this sudden cancer diagnosis. My sister is a very talented hair stylist that has been working hard to make it through nursing school. Due to the cancer lowering her immunity to practically nothing, she has had to stop working, and is fighting to hang on to finishing nursing school, with only 2 more semesters left. Her dream is to be an RN and help others because she knows what it’s like to be in their shoes.
