Jordon's Fight......

My brother , Jordon Cassady , is gearing up for the fight of his life. 2016 started out with an emtional and physical roller coaster that none of us saw coming. Brain cancer and all that comes with it is never something that is on your radar. Jordon has spent the last few months in and out of the hospital battling secondary infections that have delayed his treatment up until this point. On May 9th he had tumour and brain tissue removed at M.D Anderson in Houston Texas for biopsy. On May 31st his team will meet and lay out the game plan for Jordon's treatment. In the meantime he is staying close to M.D Anderson to continue physical and speech thearapy as well as take advantage of all of the unbelievably awesome and long list of services they provide to cancer patients. I can't express how thankful we are to be there!! But all of this is not without significant cost and harship to the family. We have made it this far but now we are reaching out for help. Things like medications and co-pays are adding up quickly. His diet is paramount to his recovery and anyone whos ever tried to eat healthy knows how expensive it can be. Just getting around Houston adds up . Jordon is at the point he requires 24/7 assistance/care. And his fight is just begining.
My little brother has worked so hard these last few years to carve himself the life he has dreamed of. He started a family. He has started a business. He is one of the hardest working people I know. We hope you can help us fight to get this ox strong , barrel chested, hard headed dude back on his feet!!! Jordon is a gentle giant who is never short on comic relief. He is an outstanding father to his son Andrew. He is the guy you can call for help and you know he's coming with a solution. He has always been there for the people in his life and now its time to be there for him.
I leave you with this, anyone who has seen the ravages of cancer knows what it does to your body. I will not lie, it is not pretty. It's extremly difficult to see someone previously so able bodied become so dependant on others. You have to learn your limitations , you have to learn to ask for help for things that make you feel like your losing your dignity. The long road ahead scares us all . Your help will allow us to focus on that road. This is no doubt a life worth fighting for............
