Hello, my name is Lana Sinclair and I am hoping to raise some money for my friend and surrogate little sister Louise Wilkinson. She is a vibrant and generous person who has given to so many people in so many ways in her capacity as friend, daughter and mother. Most of all as a singing teacher and cheer squad director she has been instrumental in supporting, nurturing and encouraging countless students in her career.
Lou has recently been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. She is booked in for brain surgery on the 9th of June. This will save her life. She is also going to need time to recuperate from this major operation.
She is going to need support during the time it takes for her to recover from this surgery because she cannot work. I want to help her cover the living expenses she will need for the months after surgery.
The money raised will be used to cover her rent and bills so she has one less thing to worry about. Did I mention that it is key for her to keep her stress levels and blood pressure down to prevent this aneurysm from bursting. The prospect of not being able to work and support herself and her family is causing her stress.
I know that she would move heaven and earth to help anyone else in this position and every one who knows her would agree.
Since I have known Lou, she has given scholarships to students, organised fundraisers to help people who have lost all their worldly possession in floods and most importantly she gives her students praise, constructive feedback and complete support to pursue their dreams.
She works hard running her business, raising her girls and being a supportive friend.
Life has thrown her a sudden health crisis which no one can prepare for. For that reason any donations given quickly and quietly would be so helpful. She does not know I am doing this and she would be mortified. She may even be angry with me for doing this behind her back. All I can say is that I hope she is angry at me for a very long time.
She is so important to so many people that I can't measure how grateful I would be for any help that can be offered. A small donation from many people is better than nothing and that is what I am asking for. In fact that would be perfect as Lou performs small acts of kindness every day of her life.
