Terrie McManus Cancer Fundraiser

My sister Terrie was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called signet ring cell. This diagnosis was an incidental finding when she was experiencing severe stomach pain and issues. The cancer cells were found in her colon and an emergency surgery was performed on March 4.  She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will continue to do so for the next six months.  For now, the treatments are going well but leave her extremely fatigued.  She is staying positive which helps her situation immensely.

Terrie is a fighter, a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served her country.  She is a mother of 5 grown children and a grandmother to 5 beautiful grandchildren.  Nothing is more painful than to watch your loved one experience a devastating health issue while you are left feeling helpless.  Any donation amount you can make will help Terrie pay her medical copays, deductible, medical supplies and still maintain her living expenses. 

In July we will be collecting gently used shoes.  Terrie's fund will be compensated by Funds2Org for all shoes collected.  Your shoe donations will be sent to developing nations for their citizens to establish microenterprises.  For some, this is the only way to provide for their families.  Collection points will be located in Youngstown, Ohio and in the Washington metropolitan area.
