Help Kathy Swarts Family with Expenses

On March 2, 2021, Harry and Kathy Swart were involved in a horrific car accident. Harry was unharmed, but sadly, Kathy was severely injured. They had been driving back from their property in North Carolina and were only an hour away from home when the accident happened along I-75. She was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center and placed in critical condition after suffering a brain bleed. Along with internal bleeding, she also suffered a crushed spine, punctured and collapsed lungs and multiple broken bones. She was placed on a ventilator and dialysis machine. After stabilizing her for a week and a half in ICU, she underwent a very involved and intense surgery on her spine.
Kathy is now on an exceptionally long journey to full healing. Harry has not left her side since and her children have been taking turns staying up in Ocala. They are visiting with her as much as the hospital will allow.
This site has been created to allow loved ones the opportunity to support the family in a tangible way. Money from this fundraiser will go directly toward assisting the family with food and lodging expenses in Ocala as well as travel back and forth. Any remaining funds over and above that amount needed will go toward Kathy’s medical care into the future. There may be individual needs associated with each family member such as meals for families back in Central Florida, transportation of children, or special prayer requests.
