Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for Xiomara Altamirano who has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is scheduled to begin 6 weeks of chemotherapy and then undergo a mastectomy. Afterwards she will be undergoing chemotherapy again. Medi-cal is paying for a percentage of her treatments, but she will be responsible for the remainder.

Xiomara is self-employed as a housecleaner and will be without income during this entire time of treatment. We are estimating she will lose out on at least 4 months of income and will still need to pay her household bills and now medical bills. Xiomara is a loving mother of two and is frightened about her upcoming treatment and surgery. The prognosis is good as she has caught her cancer early, but as a mother she is overwhelmed with sadness at the thought of possibly dying and leaving her children and husband. Her family is not only dependent on her income, but of course her love and attention.

She has worked for my family for the past four years and I can personally attest to what a good person she is and how hard-working she is. Xiomara has worked for Kirsten Cole for even longer and we both care for her and are hoping our community can rally behind her and support her and her family in their time of need.
