Hello, this campaign is meant to help my mother financially as she continues her battle against, Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I am the eldest daughter of Rachel Vasquez and am going to tell you a bit about her story... My mother is 43 years old and has been battling breast cancer since February 27, 2017. She has undergone various chemotherapy treatments, radiation treatments, a lumpectomy, and now again chemotherapy. Her body has taken a lot of beatings from it all and she is left with an open wound on her left chest wall as well as cancer in her skin and both breasts. She was signed up, April 2020, for a new chemotherapy treatment that had JUST come out for triple negative breast cancer and is continuing this treatment to date. However, due to this seemingly never ending battle these past 3 years, my mom has been out of work and is currently unable to go back (even though she wants to). As a result she has lost her usual income and most recently her health insurance; meaning her prescriptions/treatments are now going to need approval from her MediCal before she can receive them and if they’re not covered we will have to pay.
