Connie Cross is my only sister.  Our family is trying to save her life.

Connie is suffering from End Stage COPD. There is a new treatment for COPD, Stem Cell Therapy. Connie has been living with COPD for 5 years. With this life saving treatment, she will be able to live a full life again, and get around 30% lung function, now she has less than 12%.  They separate your stem cells from your blood, and the stem cells are put back in through the heart. They migrate to the lungs where they begin to grow new cells, and start repairing the lungs.

The cost of this treatment will liquidate her life savings.  She is selling her car, and focusing on just extending her life.  This treatment is on the cutting edge of technology. A lung transplant at her age is out of the question, and even IF she were to get one, the life expectancy is not significantly longer than her current prognosis.  Stem Cell Therapy is her last hope.
