Illness is a tricky thing. It's one of those ugly things on the surface that God presents to us as trial and tribulation, and yet we only see a pixel of the full picture that only God can see.
My father was diagnosed with lung cancer, stage 4 on April 5th 2016. Before the diagnosis, he was the ultimate provider for his family of 6 (my mother, younger brother, 2 younger sisters and I). Although he never complains, and still maintains a rocking attitude, I can see the effects of the illness taking their toll. I can see the incompetency and uselessness and helplessness he feels by not being able to go to work anymore and provide for his family, and having to be taken care of by the family that he was always used to taking care of instead. He can barely walk because the cancer has also drastically affected his bones.
After being through radiation in the brain, the back, and his ribs, he is undergoing chemo now, and I could really use everyone's support. With my father out of work, my mother and I are the main providers, I am still a full time college student as well.
I can slowly see that he is beginning to give up and give into this horrible disease. My mother has shown me what it means to be a superhero, through her strength and love I now understand how a mothers heart is a miracle on this earth. She is our Angel and so is my father. There is not much I can do but try to be there and keep him looking forward to life.
Can you help me relieve my familys financial stress, and support my father's medical bills? you will be providing an endless amount of much needed support and hope. Every drop in the bucket counts. All contributions are much appreciated.
