Support Mike Olsen as he Races to Recover

Donation protected
Hi Everyone!

13 years ago, on 9/11, Mike Olsen walked into work and never walked back out. After breaking his back in an accident that left him paralyzed, he has worked harder than anyone I know to turn his adversities into opportunities. Anyone who knows Mike Olsen knows that he works so hard and is such an inspiration to SO MANY people. It has been nothing short of amazing to watch him overcome and make the best of the difficulties he’s been faced with.

After 8 years of working tirelessly, Mike and his loving wife, Kellie, are about to fulfill their dream of buying their first home together.

Unfortunately, just as everything seemed to be falling into place, Mike became septic and learned that the infection is in the bone. Being a paraplegic, the infection puts Mike at a much greater risk for complications and a longer road to recovery. To make matters worse, he had to be transported from MVHS to Albany Med to be treated as they could not fulfill his needs in Utica. Due to Mike being so terribly sick and having to be transported out of town for procedures and treatment, Kellie is left to navigate the next steps in moving into their new home and facilitating what needs to be done to the house to make it accessible for Mike, all while trying to take care of Mike’s immediate needs and traveling back and forth to Albany.

Mike has already been unable to work his full-time job for two weeks and is currently receiving no income. Due to the long road of recovery ahead, he may be out of work for several months. Upon discharge, he will need extensive at-home care including IV antibiotics and dressing changes for at least 8 weeks.

While Mike & Kellie were apprehensive to accept any help at first (as they are used to navigating everything life has thrown at them on their own through hard work and determination), we wanted them to know that they do not have to go through this alone!

Moto Mission Powersports has such a strong and caring community of people who truly exemplify what it means to come together and help those in need and I thank all of you for taking the time to send them love, prayers and any financial assistance to help them through this difficult time.

Thank you all in advance for helping us show them that there is an army of people behind them willing to support them!
