Thomas’s Bike Accident Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Thomas Welsh is a positive, fun-loving, 22 year old bar manager at Barrelhouse 101. In the morning on his way to work on 9/11/20 he was in a nearly fatal bike accident. He was riding his beach cruiser to work (in the bike lane) and a man opened his car door without looking for cyclists. Thomas hit the door full speed and was launched over the car door, landing head first into the asphalt. He has a cracked skull, bruising on both sides of his brain, and bleeding in the brain. The doctor said he is lucky to be alive. Despite this severe head injury he is fortunately not paralyzed, and is still cognitive. We are still uncertain when he will be released from the hospital. Thomas won’t be able to resume work for at least one month. We are unsure when he will be able go to court against the man who hit him. He is going to have to take it easy during this lengthy recovery time, and is going to need some help financially to get him back on his feet. Any donation is greatly appreciated, big or small. Thank you so much.
