Nurse for preemie with lung disease

This is Rio -- he was born premature at 31 weeks in Los Angeles to a friend and former congregant of my husband's.  (Her name is Maren, and my husband's name is Rabbi Aaron Benson).  Rio has been diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea, chronic lung disease, and severe reflux.  He stops breathing very often in his sleep. His parents, Maren and David, must keep watch over him 24/7 in case he stops breathing, so they can swing into action.  Rio is Maren and David's first child.  
Doctors are trying various medicines, but so far nothing is working.  After all non-invasive possibilities have been tried, they will turn to surgery.  
I am trying to raise money for a night nurse to help Maren and David.  I remember how exhausted I was with my first child Monty--sitting in a chair and nursing him in the middle of the night and--despite my best intentions--falling asleep and realizing how lucky I was he didn't roll out of my lap. The stakes here are even higher for Maren and David.  If they fall asleep (they are both working and have no family in the area), Rio cou,d die.  
I researched and a night nurse in LA averages about $1000 a week. This will buy them six weeks of help, which is about the amount of time doctors need to exhaust all of the presurgical options.  
Please join me in helping this lovely young couple save their beautiful child.  If we all chip in just a little, we can really help them get him out of the woods.
