Big Mike needs our help.

As the one of the kindest, friendliest and sincerest bus drivers that you'll ever meet, Big Mike has made a large impact on the general student body at Duke. Famously known for giving kind encouragement and going out of his way multiple times to pick up a kid who missed the bus, Big Mike truly has shown love and exuded positivity to everyone he interacts with. While Big Mike is seen always smiling and optimistically stating "LG. Life's good!", many people do not know the struggles he has to endure.

His wife, Pamela, currently lives on the opposite side of the coast taking care of his mother-in-law, who is on dialysis. Because Pamela is unable both to work and give her mother the necessary care at the same time, Big Mike has to send most of his money to his wife and mother-in-law to take care of various necessities.

As the mass message floating around said, Big Mike is barely working during summer sessions. With the strict Union rules for drivers, he currently isn't working the next two weeks and cannot get more hours once he starts working again, despite all of our pleading emails.

This summer will be a rough one for him emotionally, mentally and financially, so let's show him our love and support by relieving some of his and his family's stresses!
