Hi, I’m Zoe (until further notice haha) - I’m six months on testosterone and hoping to get top surgery in 2026.
It’s been a long and often painful journey coming to terms with being trans. Over the past few years, I’ve ridden emotional highs and lows, struggling with intense discomfort in my body while trying to hold onto hope in a system that often felt like it was actively working against me. From endless NHS waitlists to being scammed out of my savings by private 'hormone clinics', there were times when it felt impossible to access the care I needed. But thanks to the generosity of those who donated to my last fundraiser, I was finally able to get a private prescription for Testogel. Since starting T, I’ve experienced a happiness I didn’t know was possible. For the first time, I feel like I’m moving toward a version of myself that I can finally live in with peace and comfort. Top surgery is the next major step in my transition - and one that I know will be truly life-changing. I’m a freelance graphic designer (you can find my work on Instagram: @smallwonder.studio) and a part-time dog walker. I love what I do, but freelance and part-time work don’t exactly make saving £10,000 easy - which is roughly what top surgery will cost. While I’m not looking to have surgery until 2026, I need to start saving and planning now. I know many of the people who helped me before may be stretched, and I appreciate that deeply. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much.
There is so much working against trans people right now - politically, socially, and financially. All I want is to feel at home in my body, safely and with dignity.
Thank you for reading. Every bit of support means the world.
