Tekoah needs some help, more than that she needs kindness. She's a single mom with two small kids getting her life back on track in a new state and a new city (without friends) with a new job that she can no longer do. Over a month ago she fractured her leg in three places. Her insurance claim has been denied, she's now behind on rent and about to be evicted. She's looking for a new job that wouldn't require standing (because she can't) but that takes time and time isn't what she currently has. I understand that Facebook is oversaturated with donation campaigns, I get it. I don't even know Tekoah well, I remember her from junior high but recently God has put her on my heart in an incredible way. I see her Facebook feed daily as she begs for someone to give her a ride to the doctor, or to bring her food because she's falling and can't even prepare it, and absolutely no one responds. It made me angry and frustrated that I can live in a society that is so well connected socially but completely disconnected at the heart. How can we scroll by and ignore her? She asked me the other day why I was being so kind to her and I said "because you're human, and that should be enough for everyone. " I'm asking my old friends from Kansas, New York and Ohio to help Tekoah. Help her keep a roof over her head and to have 6 months of rent paid so she can get through her two remaining leg surgeries and keep her babies near her and not have to worry. I'm praying God can love this lady through YOU. Please show her the community that we belong to as Christians and even just as people who CARE (you don't have to be Christian to care!)
