My family and I are looking for some help in funeral services for my dad. I'm unsure of what it all costs to give him a nice burial. Any donation is greatly appreciated.Joe's Story-
Joe battled scleraderma for over 14 years. His health began to decline in 2006 when he was first admitted into the hospital over a series of days. Since then, ER visits became the norm. In 2013, he had an emergency surgical procedure performed for a bowel obstruction and less than a year later had a 2nd surgery done. Since then, he developed diabetes and his recovery remained slow. Joe was a very stubborn and private person (reason for limited recent photos). He has never been one to complain unless in such pain, most of us would consider "deathly." He was a good and generous man. He loved his family even though he had a funny way of showing it. What we, his family and friends saw as him being grumpy, was really him fighting through the discomfort and pain he experienced daily. For the past 10 years, he has spent 98% of his time in his bed, vomiting or rushing to the restroom. Even in his condition, he found the strength to help his friends, drive his teenage daughter to school and work to give his wife and daughters money. He enjoyed fishing, teasing his friends and family, working on and driving cars and watching sports. He was very much loved or appreciated by those he encountered.
