Help Remington get to Dental School

According to statistics, I am not suppose to be standing in front of this sign. Actually, society predicted that I would end up in prison like 85% of all children with an incarcerated parent. On the contrary, here I am having graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana and NOW HEADED TO DENTAL SCHOOL!
Hello family and friends, I am Remington Richardson. The 2nd oldest of 6 sons born to Robert and Sibil Richardson. My father received a practical life sentence when I was just 5 years old, and my mother went to prison when I was 7. Left parentless, I was responsible for helping my grandmother raise my 3 younger sibilings, while they were away. Despite these circumstances I never gave up on my desire to set an example for my younger brothers to follow, and this time is no different.
On June 16th, I will continue following my dream of becoming a Dentist. Dentistry has been a passion of mine since age 12 when I first got braces. With that experience I learned how a "great self-esteem" is deeply associated with a "great smile." Since then, it is my goal to not only graduate from dental school, but to be able to go back to the community from which I came and provide proper and afforable dental care to underserved and misrepresented people.
But, I need your support to get there.
With two brothers set to begin college in the fall, one currently in his third year of college-needless to say, my mom is financially tapped. To add to this challenge, I will not be able to receive my financial aid until August. So, I am trusting that the village that has gotten me this far in life will assist me in getting to Meharry Dental School in Nashville, TN. I am simply asking for your help in raising $1,500 in 15 days in order to help me move to Nashville and get situated. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated even as simple as helping us spread the word, "Remi is going to dental school." And remember, this is more than " just a donation". It can very well be considered as your investment in your future dentist!
