For those who have wondered what happened to Dr. Hume:
The GOOD news - I am alive and well!
The BAD news (or alternatively, the challenging news) - I was very ill and unable to take care of myself. I lost my living situation (I was renting a duplex and my landlord wanted to move in his parents), my office space, and my car. All is gone except some personal belongings I had help moving into a storage locker.
All in one big swoop, I have nothing and must start over. YIKES!
Currently I am living in a rooming house called Litteral House in downtown San Jose. I am looking for a room to rent. I am taking a brief leave of absence for practicing to recover my health fully. Then I will need to purchase a new office table and possibly other office equipment. I also need to puchase a used car and pay past expenses I incurred while I was ill of about $5000.
I look forward to being able to recover and go back to work. If you can't donate, I also would appreciate leads for a room and car.
It is inpiring to have a fresh start but scary too. Please help if you can!
Love, Dr. Gail
