Help Storm Get Top Surgery

Hi everyone! My name is Storm (he/him) and I am a trans man who is hoping to get top surgery in the near future.
I came out in February 2020 and have been really doing my best to combat chest dysphoria by binding, but its been very difficult with my asthma. Top surgery would be a huge boost to both my physical and mental health, as well as my overall confidence levels.
As for my current financial situation, I am currently in the middle of a service year with Americorps, helping to create a safe and accepting learning environment for youth in a rural community. Its been extremely rewarding so far, but I will not be able to get this surgery without outside help due to the small living stipend.
On average, top surgery costs anywhere from $3000 to $9000 so my goal is $8000 until I can find a surgeon with a solid estimate. If this somehow goes over, all extra proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project, which is an amazing mental health hotline for queer folks.
For many transgender folk, gender-affirming surgery is a positive, life-changing event. This is my effort to ask for the help and support I need to feel okay in my own skin.
UPDATE: I have changed the goal to $3k because it looks like Medicaid may be covering most if not all of the cost of the surgery. All money will go towards lodging for the first week after surgery (I live too far from the surgery center to go home), food, aftercare products, and any other expenses that pop up during the first few weeks of healing. It will also go towards any aftercare products that I will need.
