Friends of Jim Roche

James "Jim" Roche never knew a stranger. He befriended everyone he met. He had a positive way of finding the good in any situation and with this quality he helped many people. For this and many other reasons, Jim was very successful in commercial real estate for almost 25 years. Jim started out working at Standard Management Company. He left there for a wonderful company called Glimcher Realty, where he found a mentor in a man that became a friend for life. He later ended up at Kite Realty in Indianapolis, but sadly left there amidst the struggling economy. His last position was at Sandor Development where, again, he became very close to his co workers. He invested in and cared about their lives. Somewhere throughout all of this, Jim lost himself. He didn't see himself as the man that everyone around him saw. He lost his way and let his health decline. Jim loved his job and the opportunity to engage with so many people in so many places. Jim loved life. Jim loved his family. He never wanted to disappoint anyone...anywhere. One of his favorite sayings was "Make it Happen, Make it Fun". Smile when you hear the name Jim Roche, you can bet he will be smiling back.

Claire Roche is blessed with her dad's love for life. She lives her life according to the "Golden Rule". She dedicated most of her growing years focused on her schooling and playing soccer, much to her dad's pride! She has since hung up her cleats and will soon graduate from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis, IN. In early fall, Claire plans to attend Xavier University as a biology major, focusing on a pre-dental path. Claire has always been driven to do her best, however, now her desire to do her best is driven through the aspiration of validating all that her dad has done for her throughout the years.
