THE DETAILS

Please come to our driveway's edge for lemonade and sweet treats on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. We are located at 148 Brookfield Circle in Sanford, NC 27330.

Or, if you cannot be with us in person but are in spirit, please consider a donation here at Go Fund Me for some virtual lemonade and cookies.

Or, finally, if you wish to contribute by mail, please send your check written to American Cancer Society to our address and to Jude and Cora's attention.

All monies go to Relay for Life of Lee County.

THE STORY

2014

This picture above was two summers ago now. In 2014, then six year-old Jude's desire  was simple. He wanted to have a lemonade stand to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Lee County. His big heart birthed a project that was such a success. In person at the driveway's edge and in your living rooms with your laptops, you helped raise more than $1600 to help those impacted by cancer. 

2015

Then we opened the lemonade stand again in 2015. Cora demanded equal billing. You helped raise $1428.  Little sister power! See the 2015 photo below.


Here are Jude and Cora presenting the Tramway Elementary school Relay for Life Team a $1428 big check in 2015.


THE INSPIRATION

Jude and Cora know the impact of cancer already. Their grandfather died of lung cancer at age 46 before they were born. Their grandmother is a breast cancer survivor. They've been an awesome nurse to their BRCA 1 positive mom after surgeries. Last year our stand was in loving tribute to the memory of their "Aunt" Donna Sovereign. Jude and Cora know other family members, friends, neighbors, and church members hurt by this disease as we're sure you do, too.

The lemonade stand is one way we are moved to act for those impacted by cancer. Thank you for helping us give to an organization with a mission to help people with cancer, their caregivers, and those individuals at risk for cancer.
