"Help the family of Jockey Kyle Gilbert"

On Friday, January 5, 2024, jockey Kyle Gilbert suffered severe injuries due to kicks in the ribs and face from a horse at his family's farm. Emergency personnel life-flighted Kyle to UPMC Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He is bleeding from the mouth and has a grade 3 laceration on his liver.

If his liver balloons, a surgical team will have to open and drain it to stop the bleeding. If his liver does not balloon, the surgeons will perform a procedure through his leg to replace broken blood vessels. His doctors predict he will be off work for approximately one month.

Kyle and his wife Julia, a trainer at both Mountaineer Racetrack and Mahoning Valley Racecourse, have five-year-old twins, one boy and one girl. The family will need financial assistance to help pay their mortgage and daily living expenses. Please prayerfully consider donating to help this family out.
