Help preserve and continue the Dick Dale legacy

Since the day my dad died, I have been fighting troubled and vengeful people who are trying to erase me from my father’s legacy. Many of you know his story- it’s a legendary tale about a true Rock and Roll pioneer. Unfortunately, I can’t explain this case in greater detail as there is an ongoing legal battle over the tools and estate of my dads legend. Many of you have known me my entire life; from my first performance on drums at the age of two and over the decades I performed alongside my dad (and sometimes with my mom Jill!) across the country. You and I likely share countless memories of my dad on and off the stage — priceless moments performing his incredible music catalogue, his special brand of mischief — the truly special decades as father and son. This legal struggle over my dad’s estate has been one of the most difficult things I've ever had to go through. Not only did I lose my dad and take on this battle, within weeks of his death my mom was diagnosed with brain cancer. As you can imagine, the battle to preserve my dads legacy is filled with legal expenses. I have often felt exhausted and defeated. If you know anything about Dick Dale, you know he was not a quitter. He was the ultimate warrior and could overcome almost anything: musical trends, disease, financial struggles -you name it. As his son, I am no different. There is no failure, there is only the next action to take. Even though he is gone, I am determined to do everything I can to share the true story of his life and music and make my dad proud — and I know he’s got my back- wherever he is. Needless to say, the past two years have been tough for all of us because of the pandemic - all of this and the fight for my dad has been tough on me and my family. I'm not one to hold out my hand - but times are more challenging than ever and I know some of you care about me and my dad. Straight up: I am asking you for your financial support — at any level. I don’t seek to hurt or erase anyone’s memories of my dad. I believe my dad would want me to be the driving force forward sharing his story; a life built on love and music and the determination to fight for what is right.
