Hey y'all! I am making a big life change. Nine days from now I am headed to Shasta Abbey in Northern California for extended, immersive meditative practice and service within a monastic community. I've been headed towards this for a while, shedding poessessions and slowly untangling myself from modern living. The timing feels right, and several signs are leading me to where I am headed. 

A seeminlgy ill-timed medical issue has crept up rather unexpectedly. I say "seemingly ill-timed" because maybe it's perfectly timed; who can say?  After a visit to my new (awesome) dentist, it turned out I needed a root canal done on one of my front teeth. I don't have insurance, so the costs are out of pocket. 

I need a little help to start the next part of my journey in decent health and with a small financial cushion for emergencies. I had this until the tooth issue crept up.  Anything you can give is sincerely and humbly appreciated, and prayers and good vibes are always (and no less) welcome.  

I am grateful for the opportunity at Shasta Abbey, and looking forward to the growth it will bring.
