Midwifery Placement in Tanzania

In January 2017, I am embarking on a midwifery work experience placement in Tanzania through GapMedics. During my four-week stay in East Africa, i will spend time shadowing doctors and midwives in a regional hospital in the Kilimanjaro region. This experience will allow me to gain a deeper insight into my chosen career, and help me to understand the differences in healthcare provision around the globe. I will also have the opportunity to spend time volunteering at the local orphanage, giving back to the local community.
