Wade Crider & family cancer fund
Donation protected
My dad, Wade Crider, has been an active, hardworking member of Douglas County and Gwinnett County Fire Departments for over 38 years as a paramedic, firefighter & arson investigator. When I was a little girl, my daddy would get home late from working a fire and I could smell that familiar smell of his smoky clothes. That's when I knew he was home safe, and that we were safe too.
On March, 14, 2016, my dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma. This is a rare cancer that is usually caused by exposure to asbestos. Exposure is common for someone who has worked this profession for as long as he has. Since his diagnosis, he has started chemotherapy and is set on fighting this cancer monster as hard as he can, but he can't deny it has taken a toll on him. He had to stop working, and is relying on my mother to help keep up with the usual bills as well as all of the new medical bills.
My dad would never approve of us making this account, but we think it's best to help alleviate some of the stress of the financial road ahead.
We thank you in advance for anything you can do for this hero that has always done for others his whole career.
Thank you so very much.
