Thank you for taking the time to read this story. 4 months ago my dad started having terrible pains in his stomach area that kept getting worse. After many test, blood work, and Drs. we finally know the culprit.... the dreaded "C" word... the word that no-one ever wants to hear come out of a Dr's mouth. My parents have waited over a month to get into a hospital to have a much needed surgery done and that time is finally here.... Cancer Centers of America. I will not go into detail of everything going on, however I can assure you it's serious and he'll be in the hospital for a while. Unfortunately for them to stay together and to allow my mom to be by his side through this rough time, they must pay for their stay there... this of coarse is not covered by their insurance. It is going to cost them almost $100 a week to stay there during treatment. You and I both know that adding that extra expense to anyones life once a week seems nearly impossible to pay. If i had the money in my bank account Lord knows it would be theirs so all they had to worry about would be getting dad better and cancer free. So im going to the next step in asking for help from friends and family.... we all know that these wonderful people would help anyone if they were able to, they never ask for anything and are always willing to give .... So, here's our chance to help them! We have the power to take the expense worry off their shoulders so the only thing they have to worry about is getting dad better!!! Anything helps and I swear your generosity will not go unnoticed.... thank you all so much for all the continued thoughts and prayers. It has definitely touched their hearts as well as mine
