Please help a local hero and his family who are in need of rescuing themselves. Fate Breedlove has been an Emergency Medical Technician and a Volunteer Firefighter for over a decade in East Bernard and the surrounding community. Fate has served with East Bernard Emergency Medical Services, East Bernard Volunteer Fire Department and Oak Bend Hospital. He is currently recovering from COVID-19, bilateral pneumonia, multiple rib fractures and pulmonary embolisms, all of which have left him unable to work for at least the next few months. During a time of global crisis Fate selflessly served his neighbors and our community to help others when they needed him most. He has done this many times before and now it is our community's turn to return the favor and help Fate and his family get through this trying time while Fate recovers enough to return to duty on the front lines, which is where he wants to be.

No one ever wants to ask for help. First responders are the helpers in times of need. It is especially difficult for us to reach out for the help we so often offer to others. We will continue to do all that we can to help our brother Fate and his family. We are hopeful and praying that the community reaches back to assist someone who has helped countless others on what many times has been the worst day of their lives.
