Hi my name is Dianna Valenzuela. I graduated from Carl Hayden High school in Phoenix Arizona. I have been admitted to California State University, Monterey Bay to study Marine Science. I have only received financial aid that covers my tuition, but I am short on finances to cover my on campus housing and meals. Raising this money will help me cover the difference.
     In order to secure my housing I need to raise the funds as soon as possible. I've studied Marine Science throughout my high school  experience and it has sparked my passion for Marine Scienece. I've taken opportunities that will prepare me to be a Marine Scientist by getting SCUBA certified in 2013 and have attended Catalina Island Marine Institute for 3 years.  I have also participated in FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), with team 842 Falcon Robotics and have participated in the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, Robosub which is a University level competition. I served as the lead electrician for these two robotics projects for three years. The experiences I have received from my marine science course work and my extracurricular robotics involvement has put me in a perfect position to pursue the use of robotics in my marine science career. CSUMB is the school I need to accomplish my dream in becoming a Marine Scientist. The location of the school is amazing because its near the Moss Landing Marine Labs and the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute where I hope to work in the future.  Attending CSUMB is my heart's desire and is the school that will shape my future as a Marine Scientist! PLease help me in acheiving my dream by joining me in my journey to become a Marine Scientist.  I will be extremely thankful because I hope to make significant contributions to the field of Marine Science, which the whole world may benefit from.
