Caring for the Colemans-
We are creating this campaign, as a way for all those that know and love the Coleman Family to help. The Coleman family have faced great loss and heartache the past several years, and are now coping with an unimaginable and unexpected loss.
Ricky Coleman, the patriarch of the Coleman family- husband to Joan, father to Kristen, Kyle, and Keegan, and grandfather to Caleb and Kolton, lost his life on Wednesday January 8th, 2020. Ricky sustained an injury on January 4th, forever changing the lives of his loving family. This accident came without warning, and without time to prepare.
Joan and her children are now faced with the road ahead, without their husband and father. Many have inquired about how they can help, knowing the family face mounting medical bills, lost time from work, and more heartbreak than any one family should ever face.
Joan is the primary caregiver to her son, Keegan, who faced a traumatic brain injury several years ago, leaving him dependent on round the clock care. Both Joan and Ricky fought so hard to finally bring Keegan home; adapting their home to meet his needs, with Ricky doing the majority of the work himself.
In November 2019, the family lost Casey; Kyles girlfriend, Kolton’s mom, and Keegan’s loving caregiver. This unexpected loss left a big hole in their lives, one very raw and new. A loss they have not recovered from or started to heal from.
Christmas 2019 was the first Christmas since the accident that Keegan was home, together, with his family. That milestone, and victory, were soon overshadowed by Ricky’s accident and loss.
This campaign is a small way for us to help support and Care for the Colemans- helping to cover funeral expenses, mounting hospital and medical bills, and lost wages. It’s also an opportunity to try and take a small burden from them; allowing us to absorb some of their pain by reducing the financial strains they have faced, and will continue to face.
We ask for your support - please keep the Colemans in your daily thoughts and prayers as they adapt yet again, to a new normal.
