It is with heavy hearts that we announce that early this morning, our friend Marti passed from this life into the next. We do not say goodbye, we say we will see you again. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this GOFUNDME account for Marti and her family. We will leave the account open for a few weeks, in case someone would like to contribute, then we will be ending this chapter as well.
Hello Friends of Marti Blomberg. Thank you for all of your generous donations over the last couple of years. This update is hard to write, but we hope that we can once again rally around Marti and her family and ease some of their burden.
The facts: Marti is starting all brain radiation to fight multiple brain tumors, with a less than ideal prognosis. She is no longer able to work. She continues to be an amazing Mother, daughter, wife, sister and friend.
The reality: We aren’t giving up , we refuse to believe that the end is in sight. The woman we love is a bright light that if snuffed out, will leave so many in darkness, that the world will become a lesser place for all of us, from that point forward. And yet, we are at a place where we have to accept, that in fact, our lives may very well be that much darker. When? We do not know. She is fighting. Fighting for every day, every week and every month.
That being said, this will be our last ask. But we ask again, in this moment, to contribute to this fund if you can, just pray if you cannot. Truly prayer is more important, but reality is that expenses continue, even in the cruelest of times. Whatever it is that you can contribute, be it prayer or money, we just ask you to do what you are able, to help make the bright light, that is our Marti, shine easier, with as much support as possible, for as long as God allows.
