24hour Go Kart Guinness World Record Attempt
On the weekend of 30th-31st July 2022 I will be attempting to break a Guinness world record.
This will be the Greatest distance travelled karting on an outdoor circuit in 24 hours individually. The current record is 1,521.80 kilometres or 945.6 miles.
This record attempt will be at Teesside Autodrome Middlesborough and will be an immense challenge. I will be the sole driver and will be assisted by a support team.
The reason I’m taking this 24hr challenge on is because on Friday 4th September 2020, my youngest niece Dottie, who is now just 5 years old, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) & Basildon Hospital, this is an intense chemotherapy course which will run for 20months.
Her initial medical treatment is due to finish in the summer 2022, but she will require ongoing medical treatment and care for the rest of her life. Dottie's trust fund has been set up to provide financial assistance in anticipation of medical advancements.
Our family and friends have been brilliant in their support, but also the kindness and generosity from the many people and companies who did not know us until this situation developed has made us so humble.
Since the age of 10 I have been a keen karter, racing all over the UK, Europe and America. I managed to win the UK Easykart Championship 2013, 2014 and 2015, as well as the E Plate championship 2014 and 2015.
I would be extremely grateful if you could help me to help two amazing causes and make any donation possible.
The money raised will be split between Ovarian Cancer Action and Dottie's Journey.
Thank you for looking at my page and taking the time to read my story,
