24-Hour Run to Fundraise for Charlotte's Freedom Farm

On September 5, 2025, Olivia Moluchi will be running for 24-hours to help fundraise for Charlotte's Freedom Farm, an animal sanctuary in Dresden, Ontario.

Their story: Founded in 2017, a baby sheep named Charlotte inspired what is now known as Charlotte's Freedom Farm, home to over 200 beloved animals. One life-changing rescue allowed Lauren, their founder, to make her dreams of building an animal sanctuary become a reality. A life wasn't just saved that day, it was an event that laid the foundation of something bigger.

At Charlotte's Freedom Farm, every animal is seen as deserving of a peaceful life and unconditional love. The sanctuary welcomes abandoned and surrendered animals, each bringing their own unique story. Whether they arrived with health challenges or as an orphan, Charlotte's Freedom Farm provides a second chance to heal, to be loved, and to live in harmony.

My story: Some of you may recognize me from my eccentric fundraising ideas, while others have followed my running journey since the day I tied my laces for my first ultra-marathon. Regardless of when you found me, one thing always holds true: I will never back down from a challenge.

Just over one year ago, my best friend and I organized a successful fundraiser to raise money and awareness for ovarian cancer after her mom passed away from it earlier that year. With the help from Slow Motion Run Club, a local running group in Windsor, Ontario, and our supportive community, we surpassed our goal and celebrated Dee's resilience and bravery during her battle.

This year, I am running for 24-hours to advocate for Charlotte's Freedom Farm. As a life-long animal lover and vegetarian, their mission to provide a beautiful life for all animals that they take in resonates with my personal values. As long as my body is capable, I will continue to raise awareness for things that I am passionate for, and I hope that you will join me on my journey!
