A community feeder contacted us about a kitty in South LA with a life threatening injury to his face. He had an abscess so big he was having trouble keeping his eye open. We are volunteer rescuers and some of us have lost our regular jobs because of the pandemic but that didn’t stop us from saving Mr. Grey! We sprung into action and got him the medical care that he needed to save his life. He had to have surgery to drain the abscess and a drain and sutures for 2 weeks until the incision healed. Lots of after care antibiotics and re checks to make sure all of the infection was gone and didn’t come back. I can happily say he is recuperating nicely!!! Now we have to pay his medical bills. His total care came to $1,477.00. That also includes a brief hospital stay, neutering, vaccinations, x-rays and bloodwork.
