24h ride to cover legal fees to save BCOM

Hi,

My name is Innes Cooke and I am attempting to ride for 24h around Richmond park on the 21-22 of June. I am raising funds for an effort to reverse a decision by BCNO group to close the British College Of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in London to students from this year forward.

BCNO group, is a charity whose stated goal is to provide high-quality education and train future osteopaths. It also provides a lot of free and low-cost Osteopathic treatment to the local community.

Despite the charity having many millions in cash, the Board of Trustees decided to stop admission of students this year. The board has not constructively engaged with those of us who believe there is no good reason to do so - and many good reasons not to. They have also made threats of legal action against various people opposed to the closure and have just started a court proceeding against my father to avoid having to disclose some information which people are legally entitled to request.

If you would like to help our effort to keep BCOM's doors open, any donations would be extremely valuable as we have already obtained legal advice at significant personal cost, and the cost is likely to increase further.

All money raised will either be used to cover legal fees incurred trying to hold the Trustees to account, or in relaunching undergraduate education at BCOM

Thank you all for the support so far, I completed the ride. It went very well for the first 19h, however, at that point I hurt my knee and started to have to take more time off the bike, but I still completed the full 24h and covered 436km. For more details you can see the link below:
