My beautiful sister and best friend Amy was diagnosed with a brain tumor on May 13th and there are not words to describe how devastated she, her family and her friends are at this time. Amy has lived in Ridgewood since childhood and after serving in the Marine Corps in California returned again to live with her family. Amy has been through SO much already; moving mountains to secure her husbands future after serious injuries from the Iraq war and she has fought many battles for her children which would have torn so many other families apart. Amy is a soccer coach to many Ridgewood children, she is a friend and confidant. Anyone who knows Amy knows she has an absolute heart of gold and is always the first person to fight for others and give herself completely to others needs. She has had to give up work, her husband cannot work due to his injuries and her whole family will need huge financial support to get her and them through this fight over the coming months.
