Helping those that helped others
Donation protected
Our lives changed a few weeks ago on April 26. My husband was home alone doing some work around the house when he suddenly felt sick. He called 911 and was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a suspected pulled muscle in his chest. It quickly became clear that it was much more than a pulled muscle. He went into cardiac arrest and first responders and hospital staff worked on him for almost an hour. He has been in the hospital since then, and has slowly made progress after something he is very lucky to have survived. In the midst of this medical crisis, we are also in the process of moving, and that is the source of our request. I would like to make the house we are moving into accessible for my husband when he is finally ready to come home after his hospitalization and rehab. Our first task is to redo the main bathroom with a walk-in shower. My husband has served as a police officer for 30 years and has dedicated his life to helping others. He has never been one to ask for help for himself, but now we are in need of help and are learning to ask for it. Your donations would be greatly appreciated.
