Donation protected
This GoFundMe fundraiser is for everyone's good friend and recent flood victim, Sedric Willis. Sedric and his wife Joann essentially lost everything in the recent Houston floods. They got 3-4 feet of water in their house.
Insurance is going to help, but anyone who has been through something like this knows that it will only begin to cover the costs, both financial and emotional.
Joann was stricken with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) a couple years ago, and is on a respirator, unable to move or communicate on her own. She had to be evacuated by boat in the middle of the night. It was a scary time, but she is doing ok.
It will likely take 2-3 months for their home to be habitable again.
Sedric has been such an integral part of the Houston Theatre community for so many years, we hope everyone can pull together and help our friends in need.
Sedric and Joann are such good people, always willing to help a friend in need. Anything you can give to help is appreciated. Any amount will help, however big or small.
We are hoping a few people will be willing to donate goods and/or services (theatre tickets, edible goodies, arts and crafts, etc) as rewards for people who donate specific amount of money.
We are working on that, but we wanted to start getting the word out so we can help our good friend.
