On 8/7 after a routine mammogram it was discovered that Janet had a malignant cancer tumor just over an inch in size. Turns out to be triple negative breast cancer. Surgery today went well, but a long road ahead lies before her. Rigorous chemotherapy treatment begins in the ensuing weeks. The Palkons are a great family with a beautiful daughter in college and 3 recently adopted young boys (ages 4,5&6). Janet and Bob are active in the community by touching the lives of local foster children. She has arranged for the less fortunate by having Santa bring the Christmas spirit to local families and by providing clothes and school supplies to those in need. The family income was based on janets self employment. She will not be able to keep that up in the coming months or more. The family has given so much to others I pray that we can give some back in their time of need. I know that Janet and Bob would never ask for it, but they do need our support right now.
