Keanu Garcia's Heart Transplant

This is baby boy Keanu. His parents are Frank and Karen Garcia. He was born with a missing lung, an inverted heart and other circulatory system dysfunctions. Keanu was immediatly flown to Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Cristi, TX, where he was admitted to the Neonatal ICU and put on life support. 

The Garcia's are from Brownsville, TX, and while Keanu is gaining weight, he is still in ICU and is currently waiting for a heart and lung transplant. 

While their baby is in Corpus, Frank and Karen are taking care of their home and two older sons in Brownsville.

They travel to Corpus every week to deliver breast milk, and to hold him for a few hours while they are there. 

Frank and Karen are doing everything to juggle this schedule during these difficult times that are full of unknowns, but they are doing their best to show Keanu that he is loved. 

While Keanu is receiving the best medical care, the situation is preventing both parents from holding a  regular job, and the expenses are piling up; medical bills, gas & food when they travel, hotels, and all the costs associated with this situation. 

We believe God is sovereign and already knows the ending to this story, but as a community, we are trying to help raise funds to help them out.
