Hi my name is Tori, I am a massage therapist and aspiring farmer moving out to rural California to pursue my dreams.
According to Bloomberg.com, “there were 45,508 black farmers in 2017...About 3.2 million land owning farmers are white, or 95%...More striking, ownership is declining faster for black farmers, down about 3 percent since 2012, compared with .3 percent for white farmers.”
Black land ownership and independence is vital for financial freedom and, ultimately, liberation. In addition, I want to use this land to provide employment and housing for other Black farmers.
Without ownership to the means of production there can be no independence for Black people.
I don’t have the generational wealth that would typically allow a person to purchase land, but this is not an unattainable goal with the help and support of my community. This amount will help me with a down payment to acquire land and make my goals a reality.
Support the aspirations of Black women while we are alive!
GIVE BLACK WOMEN THEIR FLOWERS NOW.
I got the healing hands for this fertile land!
