Help me keep my kids safe!

My name is Tiffany Hobel,

I'm a mother to three wonderful and beautiful girls. I was married to my now ex-husband for 17 years of erratic, abusive, and confrontational behavior towards my daughters and I. As fearful as I was, I finally filed for divorce in 2018 to protect my girls. After 3 years of going through the court system with a lawyer, I was granted 50/50 custody. I have spent the last few years trying to make that work so my girls could have some semblance of a father figure, but to no avail as his behavior and sanity have slowly declined.

On May 15th, 2025, he was arrested on charges of murder and kidnapping among other things.

Before this heinous incident occurred, his demeanor towards the children was threatening and abusive. By the court's orders, I had to follow the parenting plan that the judge ordered and send them with him every week, even as they begged to stay. My girls and I were in constant fear. I tried the police many times and tried calling anyone who would listen without anyone being able to help, even though I pleaded that someone was going to get hurt, but there was nothing that could be done because this is a civil issue.

I prayed for answers and emptied my bank account, took out a loan, and retained a lawyer 2 weeks prior to the events of May 15th, with the feeling that something was going to happen. Thank the Lord I did because they were supposed to be with him that weekend, and this would have been an entirely different situation.

My court date for full custody is approaching in a few weeks, and my lawyer wants to withdraw as my attorney if I can't come up with enough funds to get through the court dates.

Please help me reach my goal as I have exhausted every resource I have, and these girls don't deserve to live a life of fear.

Anything helps. I just want to protect my babies from any more trauma and preserve what little innocence they have left.
